Eight days of the holiday have passed, but the light and energy are still with us. This year, we decided to take Hanukkah one step further 🚶 and turn it into a real carnival.
Every evening we gathered together ✨ residents, families, and the dedicated staff ✨ for a festive and moving candle lighting. We were honored to host a different resident or family member each day to lead the blessings and light the candles, 🕯️ surrounded by tables laden with holiday treats (👳♀️ because you can’t go without a little sweetness).
But the Highlight? The Rhythm..
On one of the special evenings, we enjoyed a sweeping performance combining martial arts, tap dance, and authentic percussion. As you can see in the photos 🤳 the energy was sky-high! Our residents proved once again that joy and rhythm don’t depend on age, joining in the drumming, 🕺 dancing, and shared happiness.
Hanukkah at Golden Hill is a reminder 💡 that our community is one big, warm, and happy family.

Wrapping up an unforgettable Hanukkah at Golden Hill Senior Living in Jerusalem! 🏠
For eight days, our home was filled with a special light. Not just from the menorahs on the windowsills, but mostly from the people.
We called it the 🎶 ‘Hanukkah Carnival’ 🎶 and it was simply magical: Every evening we gathered together – residents, children, grandchildren, and staff – for a moving candle lighting. Each day, a different resident or family member was honored with lighting the candles, and right after… the celebration began!

We enjoyed a unique rhythmic performance of tap dance and drums 🥁 (just look at our residents joining in on the drumming!), tasted sweet treats, and most importantly – we were together. Because at Golden Hill, every holiday is another opportunity to celebrate life with the wonderful community we’ve created here. 💞
